What A Merry Christmas!
We had such a wonderful Christmas this year, even though we were unable to spend it with family, we were still surrounded by loved ones. All the kids had such a wonderful day, and loved all the gifts that they recieved and spent the rest of the day playing with all of their gifts.
We had a wonderful dinner of Brown Sugar Ham, baked mac and cheese, applesauce, stuffing, loaded mashed potatoes, and for desert apple and coconut cream pie! And as usual I of course ate way more than necessary and was only able to manage to lay on the couch the rest of the afternoon :D. Also I would like to add that my Hubby ACTUALLY got me something for Christmas this year!!!!!!!!! I was totally and utterly and beyond shocked! He brought me home flowers on Christmas Eve, and I was stunned, they are soooooooo pretty! And then for Christmas he got me some new clothes that will fit my expanding belly and butt!! I needed some new stuff in the worst way to cause nothing was fitting at all lol especially my pants :D...His parents had also gotten me a few maternity shirts too! I also got some new pots and pans which will be nice cause with our big family its nice to have about 2 of everything if not more to cook dinners Of course we cant forget Mojo, the puppy he got me a few weeks back as an early Christmas gift!! Which we almost lost our little Mojo a few days ago! Thank goodness he is still with us..Heavenly Father heard our prayers and Jer gave him a Blessing and he is back to normal now. I got Jer just a few things, like the Wolverine DVD, and LDS Movie called A Good Man, which he says is great, he watched it twice yesterday. I got him a box of white fudge covered oreos, all to himself, a bottle of sparkling grape juice, a 20 dollar gift card to Subway, a bottle of his favorite Cologne and some new towels and bath mat for the upstairls bathroom.
The kids made out great with their gifts as well, there is just to many to name, but they def got some new clothes, shoes, toys and games! Kaileighs favorite toy that she got was a baby elephant, of course lol, and her Barbie Vet that comes with A Barbie and vet set with pony and Kitty. Charitys favorite toy that she got was Horse that come with comb and purse to carry it in and also a Stuffed lamb that MaKenna picked out for her :D. Ashtons favorite toy that he got was stuffed Puppy that he got and his Gorilla costume, that mommy happend to get on sale for only 2 dollars from 20 after halloween lol...Brodies favorite thing that he got for Christmas is his UP movie and also his Dental Playdoh set. MaKennas favorite toy is her Stand and Play Gym, and Christmas Teddy Bear :D
Also on a happy note, Charity Meigh tured 6 yesterday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL! Since its a bad day to celebrate a special birthday we always celebrate her day on another day, which will be this upcoming saturday. She will have a few friends come over as well, so that will be fun for her! Of course we sung her Happy Birthday yesterday and let her know that we were def thinking of her on her birthday cause it is after all still her special day too. I went to Walmart today to see what sales they had going on today and found her a Robotic Panda that she absolutely wants more than anything on SALE!!! It was originally 50 dollars but was on sale today for only 19.00! What a deal! I also got her a few more clothes, cause lets face it Charity loves clothes! A The Frog and the Princess Purse, and some lip gloss to put in it. I also found some nice ear rings for her too :D So I think she will be happy with everything she got along with everything she got for Christmas too!

MaKenna Faith-Gallagher Schell
MaKenna Faith, aka Ladybug for those of you who know her. Was born February 10th, 2009 at 7:44 am only 8 days before her due date. She was 8lbs 5 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. My biggest baby by far. Little did I know at that time it wouldnt last.
Ladybug since the day she was born, has been a difficult baby, but very much loved. she is HIGH spirited and very demanding. she LOVES attention and lets you know when she feels she is not getting enough lol. We realized something was wrong with MaKenna when at 2 months she had yet to gain back the weight she had lost while in the hospital. She came home at 7lbs 6 oz. By her 2 month check up she was only 7lbs 14 oz. She screamed all the time. but not just a scream of hunger, she screamed in pain. like if you had seriously broken her leg. Many tests later and months later, we have yet to really figure out what her issues are, but unfortunately we had to stop nursing and place her on a high calorie formula to help boost her weight. She is now 10 months and has been on the formula for 6 months. and she now weighs as of yesterday 16 lbs. She is very healthy besides not gaining, but may have some hearing issues we are not completely sure yet. Ladybug LOVES food. And i mean LOVES. She does not like animals lol or ppl. She has a severe Social Anxiety, however she is getting better with it. She is not yet walking but close to! she is walking holding on to things and starting to stand on her own.
Ladybug has reddish light hair but not really sure what its going to be since she does nto have a lot of it :D She has the prettiest big blue eyes. She is loved by all of her family and i know that while right now her high spirit and temper is a challenge in the years to come, it will be her strenght!
Brodie Carson Schell
Brodie Carson was born May 20th, 2007 3 weeks before his due date. And only 9 days before Mommy's Birthday! Brodie weighed 7lbs 6 oz and was 19 inches long. Brodie was by far my most difficult and painfull labor! he like all my other children came out face up, but he also came out face first and at only 8cm dialated, and all this was done unmedicated!
I knew from the moment Brodie was born he was a Brodie and that he was going to be a big boy, and that he would eventually be bigger than his big brother. and he is lol he is our linebacker.
Brodie is a wonderful, brilliant, and spirited child. He is a HAM for sure! he makes EVERYONE laugh and makes silly faces and loves to make you laugh. Me and Jer always say is going to be the class clown in school.
Brodie has dark Blonde hair, honey colored eyes and a dark complexion. His favorite foods are TOTTIES! or better known as Potatoes lol. and also Bananas. He LOVES ALL ANIMALS!
Brodie was diagnosed with Sensory Autism a few months ago. He is high functioning and has Therapy weekly and has improved so much with it! He has trouble with vocabulary but does great at signing. He is not dumb and it upsets me when ppl find out he has this and try to treat him as such. He is just like any of his brother or sisters, just needs a little help with dealing with things around him. He is VERY smart too. as our most kids with Autism he has certain areas that he excells at, and does better than most children. He LOVES CARS! anything to do with things that fly, go Choo Choo or vroom vroom lol. He loves to be outdoors and exploring and he scares me to death with what he is willing to try and do.
He is a COMPLETE mamas boy and love loves to cuddle with me. he loves to laugh and smile and he is the sunshine to my life. He is what makes the days brighter for sure and it makes me sad to think of what it will be like when he starts school :(
Brodie also has Kidney Reflux along with IBS. As of September his last VCUG he still has stage 3 Reflux in his right kidney and they think it may be best to eventually do surgery on him. He goes to see a pediatric Urologist in Jan to talk about this.
Besides Cars, Trains, Planes, and Animals, Brodie ADORES his baby sister. She is the one that he seems to tolerate most and does the most with besides Ash of course. he is going to make someone a very happy wife someday as well..and I just know that he will go far in life and make us all proud!
Ashton Carter Schell
Ashton Carter was born Sunday January 8th 2006, 7 weeks before his due date. He weighed 3lbs 13 oz and was 17.5 inches long.
The morning that my water broke with Ashton, I was very excited. He was our first boy, and I really didnt think that 7 weeks would make a huge difference in him health wise. Yes I was very naive at that time. We traveled the 63 miles to the Hospital and was checked in. They confirmed that my water had indeed broke, and that it had a good time before then. I had an infection and didnt even realize my temp was above 103. They started me on fluids and Meds and at 9:59 pm that night our first son was born. He came out with only one push and was taken away right away due to breathing issues. I was not allowed to see him till he was stable which was 12 hours later. They asked me if he had a name to write on his crib card and not wanting him to go without a name, we said Ethan. lol obviously that didnt stick.
Ashton got his first Blessing at 4 days old by Elders from the Cody Ward. That day was the day that brought about my Testimony in the Church and that it was indeed true. but that is another story i shall tell later. I got to hold Ashton for the first time when he was 1 week old. A week after that he was dicharged from the NICU and he went home with us :D
Ashton has had NO delays in his development at all. His only issue is his digestive ones, and that he has problems absorbing nutrients from food. He Is nearly 4 and is only 24 lbs so that give you an idea of how tiny he is lol. Also he has asthma due to his being early and like his sister has had pneumonia many times, 4 at last count. and been hospitalized twice for it.
Ashton Has reddish brown hair and chocolate brown eyes, and eye lashes that most girls would die for. He has a Heart of pure gold, and is our sensitive child. He HATES to have anyone upset with him, and will go out of his way to make sure that if he has made you made or upset that he somehow makes it better. Which usually is done by him saying " Mommy I love Your Heart" :D Ashton is going to grow into a wonderful man someday and make someone a very lucky wife.
Ashtons favorite colors are Green and Black. He LOVES Monkeys, Gorrillas and Dinosaurs. He is also a very quick learner and very observant of those and things around him. His favorite foods are pretty much anything..he is willing to try anything once but not everything agree's with him due to his digestive issues lol. he is very adventurous and loves to do new and explore new things.
Ashton is going to do great and wondeful things in this life and I know he is going to make his family proud and already has!
Charity Meigh-Gallagher Schell
Charity Meigh was born on Thursday, December 25th 2003 4 weeks before her due date. She weighed a whopping 7lbs 12 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Her name describes her to a T! She is the sweetest most loving little girl, and is such a wonderful helper to me around the house. She is our little Mama. She absolutely loves to help clean and help with the younger kids..getting them dressed, feeding them, bathing them. She is even the one who potty trained her baby brother Ashton!!
When Charity was 6 weeks old she was hospitalized for RSV and Jaundice for 5 days. Due to the severity of her RSV she now has asthma and tends to get sick often. she has had pneumonia 5 times and just recently got over it again along with the swine flu. Charity has always been a wonderful child and imaginative! She can take a boring day and turn it into something amazing! Which has enabled her to make friends extremely easy. While she didnt walk until she was 14 months old, she was potty trained by 18 months.
Charity has bright Blue eyes and lighter brown hair, which has highlights of blond during the summer. She has her fathers darker complexion too. Charity's favorite colors are pink and blue. She loves ALL and any foods and trying something new. She is the one that loves adventure and taking risks. She really doesnt have a favorite animal, but her favorite past time involves, going to the zoo, being outdoors, swimming, getting dirty and playing mommy. Infact that is what she wants to be when she grows up, is a Mommy.
Charity is in Kindergarten this year and according to her teacher is a wonderful student! not only is she learning and having fun, but she is a great helper to her teacher too, just as she is at home. Charity is the one that all the kids cry for or go to if they are upset or hurting. She comforts them and kisses their boo boo's. She is the peacemaker and helps avoid fights in the home. She is VERY unselfish and is more than willing to give up the last cookie or her spot in something to let one of her siblings have it.
Charity is bound to make a great mother some day, and a great friend to anyone who knows her. and I am and will always be very proud of her.
Kaileigh Elizabeth-Gallagher Schell
Kaileigh Elizabeth was born Sunday, November 17th 2002 at 7:06 pm by induction , 10 days before her due date. She came out weighing 7lbs 14 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. She is the only one of my children to be born in Montana, and was born only 6 days after Jer and I's first year anniversary. I was 18 when she was born, Jer was 21, and we were so excited and scared about being parents! When Kaileigh came out she did so "sunny side-up" aka face up. By doing so she broke her collar bone which made for a difficult first 3 weeks post delivery for her and us as new parents.
Kaileigh was a very independent baby from day one and very much a Daddies girl as well. She really didnt enjoy being held a lot or cuddled unless it was by Daddy. Which of course made me as a new mom feel as though I had failed lol, but I still snuck in the occassional cuddle or two while she was sleeping ;)
Kaileigh took her first steps unassisted at the young old age of 8 months! And since then she has amazed me every day since. She wrote her name on her own at only 2! could name her ABC's and 123's, all her colors, and build huge buildings from legos at only 2 as well! She is amazingly smart and talented and learning comes very naturally to her and the best part about it is she LOVES it.
On September 28th 2006, my world completely changed when we almost lost Kaileigh, when she was struck by a car along with her younger sister and Daddy. She was thrown over 20 feet across the street. They were rushed to a local hospital where it was found that her Femur was completely broken in 2 places and had knicked her artery. Her Pelvis and hip was also broken. They transfered her 30 mins to another hospital to have surgery done to stop the bleeding on her artery and place her leg in Traction. Due to issues with her Dr. at this hospital I had her transfered to another hospital over 2 hours away, in Billings Mt. where she was born. She stayed in Traction there for 2 weeks and then was placed in a Spica Cast for another 3 months. During her time in the Hospital there I was lucky enough to be able to stay with her the whole time, Her Sister Charity, Brother Ashton and I, stayed in her room the entire stay in the pediatric Unit. Kaileigh still walks with a limp and her femur is bowed due to this accident. She needs to have it rebroken to mend this but I have choose to post pone this until after she has gone through puberty so it only has to be done once, not more than that.
Kaileigh is in the First Grade right now, and according to her teacher is Gifted. They want to move her up a grade but I have refused this, and dont think it will help her any.
As you can see Kaileigh has dark hair, green hazle eyes, and is fair complected. She looks a lot like her father, but has my fair complection. She is absolutely beautiful.
Kaileighs Favorite Animal is the Elephant! but she also enjoys Giraffs, and Zebras. Her Favorite foods are Pasta, and HATES fried Chicken. Her favorite colors are Red, Purple and Green and she also loves to just sit in her room and read. When she is older she has always said that she wants to be a firewoman..but has also made it very known this will be AFTER she has served her Mission which makes me very proud! She is a born leader and will go far in this life time and I know that she is meant for great wonderful things.
So this is a little, and I mean just a little of my oldest baby girl. Kaileigh. :D
